| Computer giant HP creates 60 jobs |

Computer giant Hewlett Packard will create 60 jobs at its customer support centre in Dublin, it has been announced.
The company said the roles will be based at its Belfield offices in Clonskeagh.
The expansion is part of a "consolidation" of European operations servicing northern Europe and the Benelux countries.
Martin Murphy, managing director of HP Ireland, said the company was encouraged by improving "wage and salary competitiveness" in Ireland.
"However, we are relentless in our continuing message that we are at a critical turning point in this country and that there is still significant scope for improvement to national competitiveness so that we can continue to grow in this market and to protect multinational industry that has located here," he said.
Mr Murphy said the calibre of Irish graduates who have the necessary humanities and technical skills to fill the types of roles created was also key to the expansion.
"In essence, having the necessary fluency in varied European languages is as important today as ever," he added.
The company said the new jobs will provide customer and technical support, and will be full-time permanent positions with health and pension benefits.
HP already employs 4,000 people in Dublin, Leixlip, Co Kildare, Galway and Belfast.
